UTOの天使のストールは名前の通り、軽くて柔らかく気持ちの良い、当社自慢の商品です。
創業間もない１９９３年頃、職人さんと何度も何度も試編みして作り上げた商品なので愛着もひとしおです。以来、私の冬のマフラーはもっぱらこの“天使のストール”一本やりです。
シーズンの中で何本かをローテーションしながら２～３回洗濯することになりますが、一度もクリーニングには出したことはありません。 カミさんがやってくれるのですが、いつもネットに入れて洗濯機の手洗いモードです。
洗剤や柔軟剤も市販のもので、普通の洗濯機で最後の脱水まで自動的にやってくれますからこれと言って手をかけるわけではありません。
「あえて普通に“水で”洗濯してほしい」とお願いしています。たっぷりの水で泳がせるように（せいぜい2枚まで）これはＵＴОの実用テストでもあるのです。もちろんセーターも同じように洗濯機で洗っています。自社のカシミヤの変化を見たいと思っているからです。 一般的に高価で繊細なカシミヤニットを洗濯機で洗うにはかなり勇気が要るかもしれませんが、当社では常々「ＵＴОのカシミヤニットは、ご自宅での洗いをお勧めします」と言っています。
以前お客様に天使のストールをお勧めしているときに洗濯の話になりました。
「ご自宅で洗って下さいね」とお勧めしていましたが、どうしても自信がないとおっしゃるので私が個人で５年以上使っている天使のストールをお見せしました。
