UTO's unique business model, which is rare in the world, involves carefully crafting "cashmere knitwear just for you" one by one.
During busy seasons, we receive many orders and our factory operates at full capacity, but spring and summer are generally off-peak seasons when the factory's operations are relatively calm.
Protecting employment and skills
UTO strives to employ all desired individuals as permanent employees, in principle.
This is because we believe that maintaining high quality, such as "acquiring advanced skills" and "deep knowledge of handling cashmere," requires "a stable environment and a system where employees can work with peace of mind."

UTO's "Ethical Price" is a special initiative to protect the "employment" and "skills" of artisans at the Iwate factory and to continue producing the highest quality garments.
By placing your order outside of the busy season, artisans can take their time to carefully craft "a garment just for you."
We offer an ethical price as a thank you for your cooperation in maintaining factory operations during the off-season and facilitating planned production.

UTO's cashmere knits, woven with advanced Japanese techniques, are recommended for home washing.
As you repeatedly wash and wear it, the cashmere becomes more moist and fluffy. UTO refers to this as "nurturing cashmere," and you can also enjoy the aging of its texture.
